Suppose an order pays $30, the complete driving estimate is 20 miles and the total commitment is 75 minutes. At an illustrative $0.35 per mile, vehicle cost is $7.00. That leaves $23.00, or $18.40 per hour for this example before taxes and other costs. These are invented inputs, not typical earnings or a recommended cost rate.
What should I check before deciding?
- Use only the payout and tips you actually know, and keep uncertain amounts separate.
- Include pickup and likely return miles, not only the displayed distance.
- Use your own vehicle cost and your own target, not the sample rate.
- Include shopping, checkout and unloading time.
- Check item count, heavy items and deadlines yourself.
