How can I track my gig earnings and expenses in one place?
How much did you earn after vehicle costs? Organize gig earnings, expenses and mileage across apps, review a shift and export your records.
Keep gross pay, costs and the amount left separate
A platform payout is not the same as profit. Start with earnings received, record the expenses you want to track, and keep mileage available for review. Use the same time period when comparing apps.
Review a shift in ProfitPin
- Use the business area to review the shift and its earnings, mileage and expenses.
- Add or correct records using your actual statements and receipts. Distinguish completed earnings from estimates made before accepting an offer.
- Keep personal driving and unrelated spending separate from work records.
- Use Reports & export to review period summaries and save or share the business journal as CSV.
ProfitPin provides recordkeeping tools, not a verified connection to every platform payout account. Check recorded totals against your source records. Features and automatic data availability depend on the installed Android build and permissions.
Am I making money after gas?
In a fictional shift, $120 in earnings minus $18 in fuel and $7 in tolls and parking leaves $95 after those expenses only. Maintenance, tires, depreciation and other costs are not included. It is not take-home pay.
How do I avoid counting vehicle costs twice?
If you use a per-mile estimate that already includes fuel, do not subtract the same fuel cost again in that estimate. Keep actual expense records for review, but choose a consistent method when comparing offers. An illustrative 100 miles at $0.35 per mile represents $35 of estimated vehicle cost, not $35 plus fuel already included in that rate.
Can I compare Uber, Lyft, DoorDash and other apps?
Compare the same period and include unpaid pickup, waiting and repositioning time. A high gross hourly figure for one completed ride does not describe your whole shift. Use the platform guides to review the inputs specific to each type of work.
Keep the records behind the number
Review mileage classifications, retain supporting records and investigate missing or duplicated entries. The CSV is a business journal for review, not a tax return or a guarantee of deductibility.
